Dycyfer™ MicroMirror Packaging Film
Our Dycyfer MicroMirror technology features micro-facets that reflect light rays, intersecting to create the illusion of pixels floating both above and below the focal plane. It’s capable of 3D animation, morphing, and other dazzling effects. Pixels appearing to “float” and to be in motion produce an optical effect and brand identity image that can’t be copied by the flat, fixed pixels of 2D decorative packaging.
Available in all types of sustainable packaging films (PET, PP, PE, etc.) and thicknesses from 20 microns (0.8 mil) to 250 microns (9.8 mils), these effects can be applied to labels, tube-stock films, shrink sleeves, antimicrobial films, carton laminates, and more.

Dycyfer™ MicroMirror On-Product Molding
The nature of the micro-mirrors allows us to supply them as “mold marks” for applications in injection molded plastics, silicones, rubber, molten metals including steel, and thermal coatings. Our micro-mirrors have applications in high-liability industries such as aerospace, automotive, sports equipment, precious metals, and components where the feature will be physically integrated into the product itself.
Molding a brandmark directly into the product is an economical method to incorporate brand identity and authenticate official brand products when:
- Product volumes are extremely high;
- The brandmark must be ON-product, rather than on packaging materials;
- Non-additive brandmarking is required in product manufacturing process;
- The brandmark must survive the entire life of the product; and
- Product authentication must be very low cost.
NanoPixel technology integrates simply and seamlessly into production. As unique as the visual effects are, it’s still a packaging film application that utilizes existing equipment as easily as conventional films. It uses the same materials, molding processes, and the same mold-mark insertion processes as standard solutions.
